Busi-Jacobsohn Wine Estate
Busi Jacobsohn Wine Estate is a family-owned, single–estate vineyard in the High Weald of East Sussex, founded and run by Swedish husband-and-wife team Susanna Busi Jacobsohn and Douglas Jacobsohn. Their 5–hectare vineyard was planted in 2015 using Burgundy clones with the ambition of producing world-class English sparkling wines that express a true sense of place. In 2026, they proudly released their first still wine, Rosé de Meunier.
As artisan grower-producers, Susanna and Douglas are involved in every stage of production, from vineyard management and blending to dosage decisions, tastings, and vineyard tours. Their philosophy centres on terroir, sustainability, and minimal intervention, allowing the soil, climate, and vineyard ecosystem to shape each wine naturally. Unlike many Sussex vineyards on chalk soils, their clay loam and greensand terroir creates distinctive structure and fruit expression. Vegan-friendly and carefully crafted in small batches, their wines reflect the character of the High Weald and the passion of the people who nurture it.
